In business in Okeechobee since 1924, the Gilbert Family of Companies is driven by dedication - dedication to our customers and our community. It is this dedication that has allowed us to serve Okeechobee for more nearly 100 years.
Our first business in Okeechobee was an all-night fuel service station which opened in 1924. This business grew through the years and is now known as Gilbert Oil Company. Building on the success of Gilbert Oil, Gilbert Chevrolet opened its doors in 1933 and brought with it our Gilbert Pre-Owned department and the Gilbert Collision Center. Offering new and used Chevrolet vehicles, along with pre-owned vehicles of most makes and models, Gilbert Chevrolet can serve all your automotive buying needs. Gilbert Ford is the newest member of the Gilbert Family of Companies. There may be a new name, but the Ford dealership taken over, Okeechobee Motor Company, was one of the first in Florida, The dealership had a complete remodel immediately after the purchase and now offers new and used Ford vehicles to Okeechobee, Port St. Lucie, Belle Glade, Sebring, West Palm Beach, and the surrounding areas.
